Germany Geography Report Draft 2

Did you know that in Germany the invented the press for printing? If you've been around for long time on my blog that was the Gutenburg post in February.

Albert Einstein came from Germany and he is a very famous scientist. He was a physicist.

Germany is in Europe next to Poland and beside Belgium and the Netherlands.
The capital city of Germany is berlin.

Germany is 357,168 km² big. It could fit into Australia 21 times.

There is 80.62 million people who live in Germany.

In Germany they speak German, English, Russian and French.

In Germany they have a democracy government.

They use euros for there currency. The Euro is used all over Europe.

There national emblem is a eagle.

Germany has alot of history. It was settled by the Romans 2000 years ago. We have been to some of the forts castles still standing. There have been lots of wars involving Germany, including the 1st and 2nd World Wars which were started by Germany.

The famous foods in Germany are bratwurst, black forest cake and their famous pumpernickel bread. One of there famous beers is a black beer.

You see these Barbecues everywhere as fast food in Germany.

In Germany they have different roofs for the snow and ice that they have to deal with. So the houses have steep roofs.

Did you know that in Germany they have a few events on the ninth of November? In 1918 the monarchy was overthrown and replaced with the democracy government. They also have a night of remembrance from the second world war and the berlin wall coming down.

If you were going to be a tourist and want  to visit this country I would suggest to see the Neuschwanstein Castle, go to Oktoberfest and Brandenburg Gate.

Feedback

Well done Morgan! Remember to use capital letters for peoples names and places.

Map of the World - Geography

We are learning about maps and the maps of the world.

We learn about the continents of the world.

Did you know that Australia is not a continent?  It is an island.

I have written in the names of the continents and the oceans. I have also drawn in purple where we have travelled.

We have been to New Zealand, Fiji and Vanuatu a few times. We have been to Europe twice and are traveling around Europe now.
